Embodiment Construction

[0038] The specific implementation of the present invention will be further described in detail below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and examples. The examples are used to illustrate the present invention, but are not used to limit the scope of the present invention.

[0039] refer to figure 1 The realization steps of the present invention are as follows:

[0040] Step 1, read in the original grayscale image data.

[0041] Read in an original grayscale image with a size of M×M and a suffix of .raw format from the natural image set, where M represents the width and height of the original grayscale image, and × represents the multiplication operation.

[0042] Step 2: Judging the texture direction of the original grayscale image data.

[0043] 2.1) Extend the boundary of the original grayscale image in step 1 by one row above and below and one column on the left and right to obtain an expanded image with a size of (M+2)×(M+2), in which one row above and below an...

Abstract

The invention discloses a recursive prediction image compression method based on a gradient direction histogram. The method mainly solves the problems of low grain direction detection accuracy, high time complexity is high, and multiple prediction coefficient numbers. The method comprises the following steps: 1) designing a prototype direction filter; 2) generating a group of direction filter according to the prototype direction filter; 3) reading in original gray level image data and performing grain direction judgement; 4) extending original gray level image data; 5) reading the extended image data by use of a block as a unit; 6) establishing a Markov prediction model according to the read block data; 7) performing prediction compression on the read block data; and 8) judging whether the detection of all block data has finished; ending the compression of the detection of all block data has finished; or jumping a data read address and returning to step 5). By use of the recursive prediction image compression method disclosed by the invention, the grain detection direction can be flexibly and accurately detected, the time complexity is low, the prediction coefficient number is less, the compression performance is improved, and the method can be used for image compression coding of various digital equipment.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of image processing, and further relates to an image compression method, which can be used for image compression and encoding of various digital devices. Background technique [0002] In the information age, people rely more and more on computers to obtain and use information, and the digitalized multimedia information has massive data, and there is a big gap between the computer storage resources and network bandwidth that current hardware technology can provide. Storage and transmission pose great difficulties. As image information is the most important resource on a computer, it is undoubtedly necessary to effectively compress it, and it will also bring great benefits to people. Image compression is not only the basis of various dynamic image compression and transmission, but also an important factor affecting its effect. [0003] As the most important method of image compression, predictive coding is a...
