Embodiment 1

[0094] Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail through examples.

[0095] Stainless steel having the chemical composition shown in Table 1 was melted in a 50 kg small vacuum melting furnace. These ingots were heated at 1150° C. for 1 hour, and then hot-rolled to obtain 3.5 mm-thick hot-rolled sheets. Next, these hot-rolled sheets were subjected to hot-rolled sheet annealing under the conditions described in Table 2. Next, the surface is descaled by shot blasting and pickling. After further cold rolling to a thickness of 0.7 mm, cold-rolled sheet annealing (final annealing) was performed under the conditions described in Table 2, and then descaling treatment by pickling was performed to obtain a cold-rolled pickled annealed sheet.

[0096] The cold-rolled pickled and annealed sheets thus obtained were evaluated as follows.

Abstract

Provided is ferritic stainless steel which has sufficient corrosion resistance and excellent formability and ridging resistance. The ferritic stainless steel contains, in mass%, 0.005-0.035% of C, 0.25% or more but less than 0.40% of Si, 0.05-0.35% of Mn, 0.040% or less of P, 0.01% or less of S, 15.5-18.0% of Cr, 0.001-0.10% of Al and 0.01-0.06% of N, with Si and Mn satisfying 29.5*Si - 50*Mn + 6 >= 0 (wherein Si and Mn represent the contents (mass%) of the respective elements), and with the balance made up of Fe and unavoidable impurities.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a ferritic stainless steel having sufficient corrosion resistance and excellent formability and wrinkling resistance, and a method for producing the same. Background technique [0002] Ferritic stainless steel is inexpensive and has excellent corrosion resistance. Therefore, it is used in various applications such as building materials, transportation equipment, home appliances, kitchen equipment, and automobile parts, and its application range has further expanded in recent years. In order to be used in these applications, not only corrosion resistance but also sufficient formability (large elongation and average Lankford value (hereinafter, sometimes referred to as average r value)) capable of being processed into a predetermined shape are required. [0003] On the other hand, ferritic stainless steel is often used in applications requiring good appearance, and it is also required to be excellent in wrinkling resistan...
