The biphenyl thermal adding system comprises spinning boxes, biphenyl furnaces, a biphenyl preheating furnace and a waste biphenyl recovery furnace, wherein each spinning box or a plurality of spinning boxes are connected with one biphenyl furnace to form a biphenyl adding unit; air supply pipes and air return pipes used for connecting the spinning boxes in the biphenyl adding units are arranged on the biphenyl adding units; the air supply pipes of the two adjacent biphenyl adding units communicate with each other; the air return pipes of the two adjacent biphenyl adding units communicate with each other as well; the biphenyl preheating furnace is connected on the biphenyl furnaces through an air adding pipe; and exhaust pipes on the biphenyl furnaces and an air release pipe on the biphenyl preheating furnace are connected to communicate with the waste biphenyl recovery furnace.
