The vision assist device is a humanistic design for special population with walking troubles due to eye diseases, is high in safety and practicability, is simple in structure, and is low in price and cost; through the distance detectors arranged on the conventional guide rods, the distance between the probe rods and the ground can be measured, and then a reminding effect can be achieved when users meet steps or roadblocks; and pressure sensors arranged on the bottom of the guide rods can control trigger of the distance detectors, and then control of power saving mode can be achieved.
