Abstract

The invention relates to application of a Herba Ecliptae extract to preparation of anti-osteoporosis multi-target medicines or healthcare products.The Herba Ecliptae extract is obtained by steps: adding Herba Ecliptae to ethanol, using a Waring blender for blending to a uniform state, performing ethanol extraction, separating and collecting extract liquid, subjecting solid to ethanol extraction again, mixing the extract liquid obtained by two times, performing vacuum concentration to obtain an alcohol extract, adding water into the alcohol extract, and ultrasonically heating to realize dissolution; adding petroleum ether into dissolved solution, and collecting a water-phase part; adding ethyl acetate for extracting the water-phase part to obtain an ethyl acetate part, and performing vacuum concentration and drying to obtain the Herba Ecliptae extract.According to experiments, the Herba Ecliptae extract has an evident inhibition effect on bone resorption of osteoclasts, and in a same dosage range, osteogenic differentiation and mineralization of osteoblast precursors and mesenchymal stem cells are promoted, so that the Herba Ecliptae extract has dual-function multi-target functions in bone resorption inhibition and bone formation promotion and has a prospect of being developed into novel anti-osteoporosis medicines.
