Problems solved by technology

[0002] For the convenience of users, the requirements for terminal products are now being relaxed. It is no longer limited to requiring users to use their standard special chargers. However, it brings new problems: different chargers have different output capabilities, and terminal products need to be self-adaptive. The output capacity of the charger is charged under the condition of not exceeding the output capacity range of the charger, so as to obtain the fastest charging speed, so the terminal product needs to judge the output capacity of the charger
In the existing technical solutions, the software only detects the output capability of the charger through the charging circuit with the main channel in the dual-channel charging circuit. High, which increases the cost and volume of the device, which is not conducive to the cost control of end products and the miniaturization of design

Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses a charger output current detection method and terminal. The terminal comprises a first charging circuit and a second charging circuit. The method comprises the steps that when a situation that a charger plugs in the terminal is detected, the first charging circuit is started and first charging current of the first charging circuit is set, and the second charging circuit is started; stepping current is added to second charging current which is currently used by the second charging circuit so that third charging current of the second charging circuit is obtained; whether output voltage of the charger drops to preset lower limit voltage under the effect of first charging current and third charging current is determined; and output current of the charger is determined according to the determination result. With application of the charger output current detection method and terminal, dual channel charging circuits are cooperated to detect output current of the charger so that the specification requirements for the charging circuits and power inductors can be reduced, and device cost can be reduced.

Description

Technical field [0001] The present invention relates to the field of electronic technology, and in particular to a method and terminal for detecting the output current of a charger. Background technique [0002] For the convenience of users, the requirements for terminal products have been relaxed, and they are no longer limited to requiring users to use their standard dedicated chargers. However, it brings new problems: different chargers have different output capabilities and require terminal products to be adaptive The output capacity of the charger is charged under the condition that it does not exceed the output capacity range of the charger to obtain the fastest charging speed. Therefore, the terminal product needs to determine the output capacity of the charger. In the prior art solution, the software only detects the output capability of the charger through the charging circuit of the main channel in the dual-channel charging circuit. Therefore, the overload capability sp...
