Abstract

The invention provides a signaling message transmission method of an IUB interface and the IUB interface, wherein the signaling message transmission method of the IUB interface comprises the steps as follows: receiving signaling messages transmitted on each connection connected with the IUB interface via the IUB interface, wherein the signaling messages comprise connection identifiers of connections for transmitting the signaling messages, the IUB interface determining a corresponding target SCTP flow for each signaling message according to number of the SCTP flow contained in a SCTP link and the connection identifiers in each signaling message and transmitting the each signaling message to a base station via the corresponding target SCTP flow. By introducing multi-flow mechanism at the place of the IUB interface of the RNC in the invention, the IUB interface can be used for distributing the signal messages transmitted on different connections to different SCTP flows so as to transmit the signaling messages on different SCTP flows to relieve congesting condition at the side of the RNC and improve transmission efficiency of the signaling messages.
