Abstract

The invention belongs to the field of construction engineering and relates to a method for simulating weathering slate mass. The method can be used for physical modeling experiment. Common glass or ceramic chips are adopted for simulating schistose slate; according to the on-site rock mass features, more than one or two compounds of clay, gypsum and blanc fixe are mixed according to a certain proportion, the mixture is adhered among the glass pieces or the ceramic chips, and the stratification and soft rock strata of the rock mass are simulated; the attitude of rock stratum is simulated according to the laying direction of the glass pieces or the ceramic chips; the materials are processed hierarchically by scraping, and the crushing characteristics of natural rock mass are simulated. According to the method, aiming at the simulation for rock mass, the main factors which affect the strength of the rock mass, such as structural surfaces, dip angles, broken degrees and the like, are taken into consideration sufficiently. By means of the slate mass manufactured according to the method, indoor physical modeling experiment can be conducted through the combination of geotechnical centrifuge equipment, and stability analysis and research for critical engineering such as rock slopes and tunnel surrounding rocks in which weathering broken slate mass serves as the main geology condition can be conducted.
