The method for establishing the VLAN forwarding channel is applied in a network management server, and comprises the following steps of receiving a flowtable-based VLAN channel establishment request from an SDN (Software Defined Network) controller, wherein the request carries address information of a source node and a destination node of a flowtable; acquiring a source forwarding device and a destination forwarding device according to the address information of the source node and the destination node, wherein the source forwarding device is an edge forwarding device for connecting the source node into a bottom layer network, and the destination forwarding device is an edge forwarding device for connecting the destination node into the bottom layer network; instructing the address of the source forwarding device as a source address and the address of the destination forwarding device as a destination address to generate an attribute register message of the VLAN and send; adding an ingress port and an egress port of the attribute register message into the VLAN through the forwarding device where the attribute register message passes through.
