Embodiment 1

[0023] The syringe is injected with 10 ml of commercially available diesel oil, the injection speed is 10 μl / s, the time-of-flight mass spectrometry sampling frequency is 10000 Hz, and the sampling accumulation time is 500 seconds, and a time-of-flight mass spectrogram with a good signal-to-noise ratio ( figure 2 ). This is the first time that the specific species of diesel oil have been obtained from the mass spectrum, mainly olefinic and alkane components (species distributed from 4 carbons in the short chain to 22 carbons in the long chain). Such viscous samples cannot be achieved by direct ionization with traditional electrospray. Moreover, almost complete parent ion peaks obtained by using vacuum ultraviolet lamp radiation are convenient for us to analyze very complex mixtures, as shown in this example.

Abstract

The invention discloses an ultraviolet single-photon ionization source used for neutral electrospray. The ultraviolet single-photon ionization source comprises a difference chamber (1), an injector (2), a quartz tube (3), a difference beam collimator (4) and a vacuum ultraviolet lamp (5). The side, adjacent to a mass spectrometer mass analyzer, of the difference chamber is provided with the difference beam collimator protruding towards the difference chamber, the outlet of the difference beam collimator corresponds to the accelerating pole of a mass spectrometer, and the inlet of the difference beam collimator corresponds to the quartz tube. The injector is arranged at the position, corresponding to the quartz tube, of the outer portion of the difference chamber, and the vacuum ultraviolet lamp is arranged in an accelerating area of the mass spectrometer. According to the ultraviolet single-photon ionization source used for neutral electrospray, electrospray sample introduction and the vacuum ultraviolet light ionization mass spectrometry technology are combined, in the testing and analyzing process, a tested sample is directly sprayed into the quartz tube through the injector and flies to the accelerating area of the mass analyzer through the difference beam collimator, and the tested sample is ionized by vacuum ultraviolet lamp to form ions, and the ions are detected and analyzed by the detector. The ultraviolet single-photon ionization source can be widely used for analyzing and detecting nonpolar and large-viscosity neutral species.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of ion sources, in particular to an ultraviolet single-photon ionization source for neutral electrospray. Background technique [0002] Mass spectrometry is an analytical method for measuring ion charge-mass ratio (charge-mass ratio). Its basic principle is to ionize the components in the sample in the ion source to generate positively charged ions with different charge-mass ratios. After the action of the accelerating electric field, an ion beam is formed and enters the mass analyzer. In the mass analyzer, the electric and magnetic fields are used to make the opposite velocity dispersion occur, and they are respectively focused to obtain a mass spectrum, thereby determining its mass. According to the structure and properties of the detected substances, mass spectrometry sampling, separation systems, ionization techniques and mass analyzers are also varied. In 1984, Tamashita and Fenn invented electrospray ionizatio...
