Abstract

The invention discloses artificial colored sand which is prepared from a sand material, an adhesive, a curing agent and pigments, wherein the adhesive is water-borne epoxy resin and the curing agent is a room temperature curing agent T-31. The invention further discloses a preparation method of the artificial colored sand. The preparation method comprises the following steps: preparing the water-borne epoxy resin; preparing the sand material; blending colors; curing; and obtaining a finished product. The preparation method disclosed by the invention is characterized in that the self-made water-borne epoxy resin is used as the adhesive, and the artificial colored sand is prepared by using the normal temperature curing agent T-31. The colored sand is strong in wear resistance and acid and base resistance, pure in color and easy for color blending and suitable for preparing wide building and ornament materials and the like. The preparation process realizes room temperature production and has the advantages of convenience, energy conservation and environmental friendliness.
