Abstract

The invention discloses an application of styrene elastomers as additives for improving low-temperature folding resistance of polypropylene and folding resistant polypropylene prepared from the styrene elastomers. The inventor finds out that the styrene elastomers have excellent compatibility with the polypropylene, and minimum in phase size in the polypropylene matrix, and the polypropylene added with the styrene elastomers still has excellent light transmission property and folding resistance at a low temperature. The folding resistant polypropylene has the tensile strength of greater than or equal to 20MPa, the elongation at break of greater than or equal to 500%, the notch impact strength (23 DEG C) of greater than or equal to 15KJ / m<2>, the hinge (0.5mm) folding count at 23 DEG C of greater than or equal to 106, the hinge (0.5mm) folding count at minus 30 DEG C of greater than or equal to 105, and the light transmittance of greater than or equal to 90%, and thus is capable of meeting the requirements for the transparent folding-resistant polypropylene in cold regions.
