A REPDM / RIIR elastomer and a preparation method thereof, relating to an elastomer material and a preparation method thereof, the waterproof material is composed of the following components in parts by mass: 100 parts of REPDM and RIIR combined, 1-2 parts of sulfur, 0.9- 2 parts of accelerator, 2.5-8 parts of vulcanization activator, 0-20 parts of carbon black. The combination of EPDM and IIR has good process compatibility and can obtain better comprehensive performance. Combined glue can be vulcanized by sulfur, peroxide, ester and resin, and their vulcanization rate is relatively close, and it is easy to form co-vulcanized materials. The present invention fully utilizes REPDM and RIIR to replace EPDM and IIR, and uses reinforcing agents and vulcanization aids to reduce the cost of the waterproof material, make the waterproof material easy to form, and improve the adhesion with the substrate.
