Problems solved by technology

However, the DPI analysis system requires a large investment. Because the distribution of resources accessed by users is uncertain, to completely rely on the DPI system to achieve end-to-end service assurance, it is necessary to deploy such devices at the edge of the IP backbone network. This is obviously not possible. realistic, and costly
[0005] From the perspective of the above two implementation methods of end-to-end differentiated services, it is difficult to realize two-way differentiated services based on users and services. The DPI solution has a huge investment, and it is unrealistic to fully deploy it on the live network

Embodiment Construction

[0015] The present invention will be described more fully hereinafter with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which exemplary embodiments of the invention are illustrated. The exemplary embodiments of the present invention and their descriptions are used to explain the present invention, but do not constitute an improper limitation of the present invention.

[0016] The following description of at least one exemplary embodiment is merely illustrative in nature and in no way taken as limiting the invention, its application or uses.

[0017] The following embodiments of the present invention only need to deploy DPI equipment at the PDSN (PacketDataServingNode, packet data serving node) at the user service originator (neither at each user terminal nor at the edge of the IP backbone network), and at the IP backbone Deploy one or two addressing routers (one of which is used as a backup function) globally on the network. After in-depth analysis of upstream data packets, the ...

Abstract

The invention discloses a method and a system for achieving an end-to-end differentiated service in an internet protocol (IP) network. The method for achieving the end-to-end differentiated service in the IP network comprises intercepting, capturing and analyzing upstream flows by data processing installation (DPI) equipment; matching the analyzed upstream flows according to a stored business strategy, and marking the upstream flows which are matched with the business strategy; extracting IP quintuple group information from the matched upstream flows, and sending the IP quintuple group information and the business strategy to an addressing router; searching an edge router connected with a server which is accessed to business accessed by a user by the addressing router according to an router list and received IP quintuple group information; sending the edge router which is found, the IP quintuple group information and the business strategy to an IP network management system which sends the IP quintuple group information and the business strategy to the edge router; and marking downstream flows which are matched with the business strategy by the edge router. The method and the system for achieving the end-to-end differentiated service in the IP network are in no need of deploying the DPI equipment in the whole network, and therefore the end-to-end differentiated service can be achieved under the condition that the change of an existing network is small.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to an IP network, in particular to a method and system for realizing end-to-end differentiated services in an IP network. Background technique [0002] In an IP network, differentiated services for different business flows can be realized through differentiated services, but this requires first marking the flows entering the network to identify different levels of service flows entering the network. In addition, to achieve end-to-end service assurance, service marking needs to be performed on both ends of the flow in and out of the network, so as to ensure the quality of uplink and downlink traffic at the same time. [0003] The service identification and identification of traditional routers can only be carried out based on the quintuple of a flow, and the application layer information transmitted in the flow cannot be identified, so it is impossible to finely identify a certain type of service (for example, video, voice)...
