Embodiment 1

[0023] (1) Material collection method: select the plump terminal buds that germinated in the same year, remove the excess leaves, wrap them with a damp cloth after picking, and bring them back to the laboratory to store in the fresh-keeping compartment of the refrigerator for later use;

Abstract

The invention discloses a breeding method for vanda. The breeding method comprises the following steps of: selecting a full terminal bud which is germinated in the current year as a material; removing redundant leaves for induction culture; germinating strong buds after 15-20 days; carrying out enrichment culture on the buds for 20-30 days; and performing root induction on the buds for 20-25 days to obtain seedlings for transplanting, wherein the survival rate is higher than 95%. The expanding propagation coefficient is high, and nursery-grown plants grow well after surviving. The vanda is single-axis stem cattleya, so that lateral buds are almost not generated. Moreover, stem tips contain many polyphenols with strong activity, and the cut stem tips are easy to brown during the culture, so that the culture is difficult to succeed; and natural sexual propagation is difficult to succeed as seed germination depends on symbiotic bacteria nourishing. The technical scheme provided by the invention solves the problems of low survival rate, slow propagation and the like in the prior art, and has remarkable economic and social benefits.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of rapid propagation of Vanda orchids, and in particular relates to the research and development of key technologies for the breeding of new varieties of the genus Vanda and the rare ornamental plants of the genus Vanda. Background technique [0002] Vandaspp is a perennial epiphytic herb. There are about 60 native species of this genus in the world, all of which are epiphytic plants. Widely distributed in the tropical and subtropical regions of the Eastern Hemisphere, from India to the east to southern China, Southeast Asia, New Guinea, Australia, the Philippines, Solomon Islands and other Pacific islands. [0003] Most species have larger flowers with bright colors, including pink, yellow, purple, pure white, and tea brown, sky blue, etc. that are rarely seen in other orchids. Racemes are drawn from the leaf axils, with 10-20 flowers; the flowering period is long, and each flower can open for 2-3 weeks, u...
