Abstract

The method comprises the following steps of: (a), performing radioactive 131I internal radiation on a Wistar rat; (b), performing intra-peritoneal injection on the Wistar rat by using human thyrotrophic hormone; and (c), observing distribution of orbit somatostatin receptors. The method has the advantages that the animal model is easy to manufacture, and the method is low in cost and easy to repeat; the success rate is high, 85 percent of rats have hypothyroidism, and the thyroid tissues have the universal characteristic of the hypothyroidism; complete characteristics of thyroid related eye diseases are reflected; the method discovers that the orbit somatostatin receptors are distributed abnormally; and the death rate of animals is low in experiments.
