Abstract

The invention relates to a traditional Chinese medicinal composition for treating burns and scalds and a preparation method thereof. The composition is characterized in that the composition is prepared from the following raw material components, by weight, 1-90 parts of gypsum, 26-100 parts of stalactite, 1-100 parts of Boswellia carteri, 31-70 parts of myrrh, 27-90 parts of Rheum officinale and 30-100 parts of catechu or Radix Sanguisorbae. The preparation method comprises the following steps: 1, cleaning the raw material components according to above weight parts; 2, respectively grinding them into powders after air drying; 3, mixing the powders; 4, adding sesame oil having a weight 1-100 times of raw material components to the obtained powdery product; and 5, stirring to obtain a pastyproduct. According to the traditional Chinese medicinal composition, the cure period to the burns and the scalds is short, first degree burns or scalds can be healed after 3-5 days, second degree burns or scalds can be healed after 6-7 days, and third degree burns or scalds can be healed after about half a month.
