Problems solved by technology

When a single switch is used in the OLT for single-point control, fewer control elements are required, and the total network cost is relatively low, but its protection action often restores the services of the ONUs affected by the fault, and at the same time makes some ONUs that are working normally Affected, in addition, it can generally only recover a single fault; while using multiple optical switches for control recovery at the cost of more components, it can achieve partial recovery of local faults, and may recover multiple faults

[0047] Description of text and symbols in graphics:

[0048]

[0049] Such as figure 1 As shown in FIG. 2 , it is a schematic structural diagram of a hybrid passive optical network with a centralized control redundancy protection function proposed by the present invention. The network includes an OLT with two ports (referred to as the main port and the standby port) that can work independently of each other, back up each other or work at the same time, m ONUs divided into n ONU groups, and an OLT with 2×2p RN of ports, where p≥n. The main port and the standby port of the OLT are connected to the RN through two mutually independent trunk / feeder fibers (referred to as the main feeder fiber and the backup feeder fiber respectively), and the signals in the two trunk / feeder fibers are transmitted from the input end of the RN After the input, output from at least n out...

Abstract

The invention discloses a mixed type passive optical network and a method for positioning and restoring faults thereof. The passive optical network comprises an optical line terminal, optical network units divided into a plurality of optical network unit groups and a far-end node, wherein the optical line terminal is connected with the far-end node through two feeder optical fibers; the far-end node is connected with the optical network unit groups by adopting a dual-fiber star topology structure; the optical network units which needs to be protected in the groups are connected to each optical network unit group by adopting a dual-fiber tree or cross-bus structure. In the mixed type passive optical network structure, the mixed TDM / WDM technology is adopted to improve the access scalability of a network effectively and provide the convenience for the gradual increase of the number of network bandwidth and network users. The fault positioning of the network provided by the invention can be realized by a statistical analysis method, the flexible restoration of the network faults can be realized through the action of the optical line terminal and the survival rate of the network is improved.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a passive optical network, in particular to a passive optical network structure with a protection function and a fault location and restoration method thereof. Background technique [0002] Optical fiber access technology is one of the main technologies to realize the next-generation broadband access network. It has the characteristics of high bandwidth, large capacity, high reliability, and good service quality, and it is convenient to realize multi-network integration of voice, data, and video. In such a special occasion as the application of the access network, with the increase of the service type and bandwidth, especially the possible incorporation of the voice service, the requirements for its reliability and survivability are getting higher and higher, and the network is required to have Redundant protection and rapid recovery capabilities should maximize communications even in the event of a catastrophic failure.
