Abstract

The invention discloses an automatic focusing method of an optical imaging system. The method uses a set of digital imaging system comprising a CCD, an image collecting card, a zoom lens and a calculation display system. The method comprises: subjecting the image collected by the CCD to digitization treatment through the image collecting card; selecting a reasonable focusing window and subjecting the image to a pre-treatment stage; using software to program for coarsely focusing through selecting reasonable focusing criterion and using a focusing depth method, and finely focusing until an optimal focal plane is found out; and sending a control command to a singlechip through a program, driving a motor of the zoom lens to drive the lens to an optimal plane position for imaging, and displaying an optimal focal plane image through the window. During the coarse focusing, the step pitch of the selected control motor is large so as to reduce focusing time, and during the fine focusing, the step pitch of the selected control motor is small so as to reasonably control the error of the system.
