Abstract

A plasma display apparatus is provided to enhance the efficiency of energy by reducing heat radiation generated from a switch using a snubber circuit. A plasma display apparatus includes a source capacitor(Cs), resonance inductors(L1,L2), first and second switches(er_up,er_dn), and snubber circuits(520,530). The resonance inductors form a resonance circuit between the source capacitor and the capacitor of a plasma display panel. The first and second switches control the supplement and recovery of energy between the source capacitor and plasma display panel. The snubber circuits, which are connected between the resonance inductors and source capacitor, include a capacitor and at least one of a resistor and an inductor.
