An easy to use, inexpensive fastener device that is generally shaped like the letter “H,” or similar cross-connected structure, which is used for bundling multiple items in conjunction with a closed loop band. The multi-purpose fastening device has a simple structural design such that a continuous length of cord or elastic may be looped around one of the uprights of the “H,” wrapped around a bundle of items, and then looped around the other upright of the “H,” thus holding the items together. The clip may be constructed of plastic, metal, or other rigid material and may be of varying size, thickness, and tensile strength, depending on the weight to be supported.

An interlocking attaching system comprises a substrate adapter, an accessory adapter and a discrete locking member. The substrate adapter includes a base for affixing to a substrate object and a plurality of spaced apart raised regions disposed along a first longitudinal axis. The raised regions have slots defining a first plurality of passages oriented parallel to the first longitudinal axis and aligned with one another. The accessory adapter includes a base for affixing to an accessory object and a plurality of spaced apart raised regions disposed along a second longitudinal axis. The raised regions have slots defining a second plurality of passages oriented parallel to the second longitudinal axis and aligned with one another. The spacing between the locations of the raised regions of the adapters are dimensioned to position at least one raised region of one of the adapters between at least two raised regions of the other adapter when the adapters are in operational alignment, i.e., with their respective top sides together and with their respective passage aligned. The locking member is removably insertable through the passages on both adapters when the adapters are in operational alignment. Insertion of the locking member through the passages of both adapters when the adapters are in operational alignment interlocks the accessory object to the substrate object, and withdrawal of the locking member from the passages releases the accessory object from the substrate object.

A connector to attach cable or line to an article of gear whereby the cable or line is protected from fatigue through the use of a strain relief system and incorporates the ability to easily connect or disconnect the gear from the cable. The cable / line is permanently attached to the cable connection device with a knot or cable crimp. A strain relief for the cable / line is provided by a spring wrapped around the cable / line to prevent bending at the connection point, a heavy material coating around the cable / line again to prevent bending at the connection point, or a pivoting ball connection to allow the cable / line to move without bending the cable / line at the joint. A disconnect method is provided by a clipping system that allows the cable connection device to be connected or disconnected from the gear.

A cord clip for fastening a cord attached to e.g. an earphone to an object such as a clothes is disclosed. The cord clip includes a clipping portion for clamping the object and a cord holding portion for holding the cord. The clipping portion is formed by a first annular portion having a discontinuity at a part thereof. The clipping portion is capable of clamping the object at a clamping portion thereof provided by a narrow gap formed by the discontinuity of the first annular portion by means of an elastic resilient force of the first annular portion. The cord holding portion is formed by a second annular portion having a discontinuity at a part thereof. The cord holding portion is capable of holding the cord therein by means of an elastic resilient force of the second annular portion. This elastic resilient force of the second annular portion is independent of that of the first annular portion. The first annular portion and the second annular portion are formed integrally in a single member.

A one-piece, adjustable elastic strap for securing items, which may include overmolded attachment members. The attachment members may be reinforced, and anchor holes may be provided along the elastic member. In addition, non-slip grips may be provided on the overmolded portions to facilitate gripping. Other safety features may also be included.

An improved hook latch mechanism, for use with cordage loops, used for leashes, cables, ropes, rigging or like restraining devices having a center body hook with a sliding outer sleeve to cover and uncover the hook opening. A spring loaded ball locking device is employed to lock the sliding sleeve in position to cover the hook opening to thus prevent the cordage loops from slipping off the hook, depressing the ball inwardly against a spring and sliding the sleeve upwardly to uncover the hook opening, permitting the removal of the cordage loop. A swiveling bail link at the other end of hook prevents twisting of the cordage loop.

The present invention is directed to a laptop platform for resting a laptop computer on a user's lap; the platform comprising a composite structure having risers to establish an air gap between the platform and the laptop. In one embodiment the platform is further configured with upper and lower layers including a plurality of ribs extending therebetween to define a pocket or pockets of air. The air pockets act as a second insulating source while the ribs aid in stiffening the platform. Further, a designated insulation material may be is adhered to the lower surface of the platform to create a third, separate barrier to heat transfer across the platform.

Headgear for a respiratory mask includes a strap arrangement including front strap portions adapted to be disposed over a patient's cheeks and having front ends adapted for attachment to an airway interfacing portion, top strap portions connected to respective front strap portions and adapted to be disposed over the top of a patient's head and to connect to each other, and a back strap extending rearwardly from and connecting respective junctions of the front strap portions and top strap portions or regions adjacent these junctions and adapted to locate underneath a patient's occiput. In use with a patient having long hair, the back strap is adapted to extend under the patient's hair and urge upwardly on the patient's hair and against the patient's head beneath the occiput. In use with a patient having short hair, the back strap is adapted to urge against the patient's head beneath the occiput. In an embodiment, front strap portions of the headgear may be provided with a sleeve or cover (e.g., constructed of a fleece material) to enhance comfort in use.

A modular assembly for detachable securing an accessory component to a garment or the like, comprises a meshed fabric, with an array of first openings forming an integral part of the garment. A base plate and a locking plate are provided, the former being secured to the accessory component. A plurality of studs are provided on one of the plates, and a plurality of second openings are provided on the other of the plates. The plates are adapted to be positioned on opposite sides of the meshed fabric, with the studs on the one plate projecting through respective first openings in the meshed fabric and into interlocked engagement within the second openings of the other plate.
