Problems solved by technology

Although this superimposed steering system can superimpose an additional angle on the rotational movement between the steering wheel and the steering gear, the counter torque of the servo-electric drive is supported on the steering column shaft, which can result in a driver's steering feel or uncomfortable driving

Embodiment Construction

[0028] figure 1 A partial longitudinal section of a superposition steering system 1 designed as an active steering system for a vehicle is shown. The superposition steering system 1 comprises, as an electric superposition steering system, a servomotor 10, a steering shaft 8 connected in a rotationally fixed manner to a steering wheel 9, a superposition drive 4 in the form of a harmonic drive 11 and a drive for The input shaft 6 of the steering gear 7 , the servo motor is mounted on a vehicle-fixed component 17 which is not the steering column of the vehicle. The steering gear 7 may be part of an electric or hydraulic power steering system.

[0029] In the exemplary embodiment shown, the steering gear 7 comprises a helical pinion 37 arranged on one axial end of the input shaft 6 and an axially displaceable mounted rack 38 meshing with the pinion 37. . The toothed rack 38 is articulated in a known manner to steerable vehicle wheels (not shown) via a tie rod arm.

Abstract

The invention relates to a superimposed steering system for a vehicle, in particular a servo-assisted or power steering system for a motor vehicle. Said system comprises a differential drive (4), which is configured as a shaft drive (11) and has a first input shaft (2) and a second input shaft (3), for superimposing the rotational angles that occur in the first and second input shafts (2,3) on an output shaft (5) of the differential drive (4). The output shaft (5) acts on an input shaft (6) of a steering gear (7). The first input shaft (2) interacts with a steering handle (9) by means of a steering shaft (8) and the second input shaft (3) interacts with a servo motor (10). The aim of the invention is to provide a superimposed steering system that can apply an additional steering angle, without play, to the output shaft (5) and that has a simple, cost-effective, space-saving construction, whilst being easy to install. To achieve this, the first input shaft (2) is directly connected in a detachable manner to a radially flexible flex-spline (13) of the shaft drive (11), said first input shaft (2) passing through an eccentric drive core (12) of the shaft drive (11), which extends into the radially flexible flex spline (13).

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a superposition steering system for a vehicle according to the preamble of claim 1 , in particular a superposition steering system for a motor vehicle servo or power steering system. Background technique [0002] Superposition steering systems are known and are characterized in that a further steering angle can optionally be superimposed by an actuator on the steering angle selected by the driver of the vehicle on the steering wheel. The additional angle of rotation is controlled by an electronic control and / or regulating device and serves to increase the driving stability of the vehicle or for other purposes. [0003] In order to generate additional or additional angles of rotation, it is known from DE 101 29 450 A1 and DE 101 60 313 A1 to use a planetary gear as superposition gear, wherein a steering shaft connected to a first transmission input shaft along Axially disconnected and rotatably connected by a stepped planetary ...
