Abstract

The invention relates to application of astaxanthin, in particular to application of astaxanthin in promoting development of preantral follicles of mice and a preparation. The astaxanthin is added into the in-vitro culture solution of the preantral follicles of the mouse to explore the antioxidant effect and the antioxidant mechanism of the preantral follicles in the follicle development process, and the result shows that the astaxanthin reduces lipid peroxidation in the follicles by improving the expression of antioxidant genes in the follicles and improves the follicle development rate and estrogen secretion, so that the anti-oxidation effect of the follicles is improved. The in-vitro development of the preantral follicles of the mice is promoted, and the result provides reference for the application in the in-vitro culture of follicles of other species.
