Abstract

The invention discloses a switching method and a communication device. The method comprises the steps: transmitting at least one data packet which is not successfully received by terminal equipment to target network equipment after source network equipment transmits a switching command to the terminal equipment, so as to enable the terminal equipment to access the target network equipment, and the target network device sends the at least one data packet received from the source network device to the terminal device. Since the data packets forwarded by the source network equipment to the target network equipment comprise the data packets which have been subjected to PDCP processing by the source network equipment but do not receive the acknowledgement response of the terminal equipment, data loss of the terminal equipment in a cross-system switching process can be effectively avoided.
