Abstract

The invention discloses a picture head counting method and device based on a convolutional neural network. The method is a crowd counting technology based on a single-column feature fusion convolutional neural network, and the network solves crowd counting difficulties such as crowd occlusion to a certain extent. According to the network, basic features are obtained through a front-end network including the first ten layers of VGG16, multi-scale features are obtained through a middle-end network including small-scale convolution layers, and a crowd density map is obtained through a rear-end network including cavity convolution layers with different void rates. Finally, accumulation is carried out according to the integral of the crowd density map to obtain the number of people. Experiments show that in a general crowd density scene, the precision of the method is superior to that of an existing known method.
