The preparation method comprises the following steps: (1) carrying out catalytic hydrogenation on a Fischer-Tropsch synthesis product to obtain Fischer-Tropsch refined wax; (2) distilling the Fischer-Tropsch refined wax to separate out a plurality of narrow fractions with a distillation range of 300-520DEG C; and (3) preparing the candlelight wax by using one narrow fraction or a mixture of a plurality of narrow fractions.
