Abstract

The invention provides an image encryption method based on a Y-shaped filling curve and variable-step Josephh traversal. The method comprises the following steps: converting a grayscale image into a two-dimensional image matrix; calculating a hash value of the image matrix to serve as a secret key, and performing operation to obtain an initial parameter value; substituting the initial parameter value into a 2D-LSCM system for iteration to obtain a chaotic sequence, processing the chaotic sequence to obtain sequence matrixes, taking the two sequence matrixes as an initial matrix and an initialstep length matrix respectively, and performing bit scrambling on a binary bit of each pixel value of the image matrix by adopting a Josephf function; performing pixel scrambling operation on the image matrix twice by using the Y-shaped filling curve; and performing forward diffusion and reverse diffusion in sequence by using the sequence matrix to obtain a ciphertext image. According to the method, the images are confused through the Y-shaped filling curve, correlation between the secret key and the plaintext images is achieved, the image pixels are subjected to bit-level scrambling through diversified Josephf, and better performance and higher safety are achieved through analysis of experimental results.
