Abstract

The invention provides an indium ion doped hexagonal crystal system M-type barium ferrite gyromagnetic material and a preparation method thereof. The chemical formula of the material is BaFe<12-2x>In<x>O<19>, wherein x = 0.1, 0.2, 0.25, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6, 0.7, 0.75, 0.8, 0.9, 1, 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4. The method comprises the following steps: (1) taking BaCO3, Fe2O3 and In2O3 as raw materials; (2) adding a prepared sample mixture, water and large and small balls for ball milling into a ball milling tank, and carrying out ball milling for the first time; (3) drying and sieving the slurry obtained by ball milling in the previous step, then putting the slurry into a sagger for compaction, and pre-sintering the slurry; (4) mixing the pre-sintered material obtained in the previous step with water for secondary ball milling; (5) drying, granulating and sieving the slurry obtained in the previous step, and pressing into rings and sheets by virtue of a mold; (6) sintering the pressed blank.
