Abstract

The invention provides a multimedia live broadcast method, device and equipment. The method comprises: determining the playing duration of multimedia which is downloaded to terminal equipment and is not played in first live broadcast multimedia; when the playing duration is less than a first preset duration, reducing the playing rate of the first live multimedia, and/or downloading a multimedia fragment corresponding to a first code rate, the first code rate being less than the code rate of the multimedia fragment being downloaded; and when the playing duration is greater than a second presetduration, increasing the playing rate of the first live multimedia, and/or downloading a multimedia fragment corresponding to a second code rate, the second code rate being greater than the code rateof the multimedia fragment being downloaded, and the second preset duration being greater than or equal to the first preset duration. On the basis of preventing the live broadcast multimedia from being blocked, the time delay between the multimedia playing point and the live broadcast point of the terminal equipment is reduced.
