The skin protection cream containing the thanaka extract is prepared from the followingraw material components in percentage by mass: 1-10% of skin friendly oil, 2-8% of an emulgator, 0.1-10% of an oil soluble thanaka extract, 0.1-15% of a humectant, 0.1-10% of a water soluble thanaka extract, 0.01-1% of a rheolobic modifier, 0.1-0.5% of a preservative and the balance of water. The thanaka extract can serve as an antioxidant skin protection agent to be added into an oil phase and awater phase of a cosmetic cream formula, and the whole antioxidant performance of the cream is provided. The invention further provides a formula combination capable of promoting osmosis of active substance of the skin protection cream, a finally-obtained cosmetic for the skin is natural and safe in components, the skin friendly performance is good, and meanwhile, the characteristics such as antioxidation is further achieved.
