The invention discloses a tandem anaerobic ammonia oxidation process for room-temperature denitrification of high-ammonia wastewater, which comprises the following steps: 1) inoculating anaerobic ammonia oxidation granular sludge into two anaerobic ammonia oxidation reactors with different volumes; 2) with the nitrogen-containing wastewater as inlet water, operating the system at room temperature, wherein the hydraulic retention time of the large reactor is 0.57-7.69 h and the hydraulic retention time of the small reactor is 0.29-8.70 h; 3) adjusting the operation conditions of the reactors according to the concentration change conditions of ammonia nitrogen and nitrite nitrogen in effluent, so as to increase the loads of the two reactors to the maximum allowable values; 4) connecting two anaerobic ammonia oxidation reactors, which are lifted to the maximum load value, in series, and with nitrogen-containing wastewater as inlet water of a large reactor and outlet water of the large reactor as inlet water of a small reactor, operating the system at room temperature, the hydraulic retention time of the large reactor being 0.57 h and the hydraulic retention time of the small reactor being 0.29 h; and 5) adjusting the operation conditions of the reactor according to the concentration change conditions of ammonia nitrogen and nitrite nitrogen in the effluent, so that the ammonia nitrogen treatment capacity of the reactor on the wastewater is maximized.
