The multifunctional air conditioning system comprises a water taking pump, a plate type heat exchanger A, a plate heat exchanger B, a water collector, a water distributor, a cold water unit, a plate heat exchanger C, a water storage tank and a user side air conditioner which are orderly connected, wherein the cold water unit comprises a condenser and an evaporator. According to the ordered connection of the equipment, on one hand, the cold amount of the river water is utilized to the maximum degree, and the overall energy consumption is reduced. On the other hand, the early-stage investment cost is low, and only two water pumps, one plate typeheat exchanger and one water storage tank are additionally arranged compared with a common river water source heat pump.
