Embodiment 1

[0045] The present invention provides a method for implementing an edge computing-oriented unstructured data sharing mechanism, see figure 1 with Image 6 , including the following steps:

[0046] S1: Receive the user's data index request, collect switch, port, link and host information through the control plane to obtain the network topology and status.

[0047] SDN includes a control plane and a switching plane. The control plane can collect network topology and status, including switches, ports, links, and moderator information. In SDN, network management is logically centralized in a control plane consisting of one or more controllers, which generate forwarding table entries for switches. The switches in the switch plane only forward packets based on the mounted entries derived from the controller.

[0048] The present invention first collects switch, port, link and host information through the control plane to obtain network topology and state, and provides a basis fo...

Embodiment 2

[0091] About the optimal design of the COIN mechanism for multiple data copies and multiple index copies.

[0092] Scenarios for multiple copies of data:

[0093] Ingress edge servers will also cache copies of data when retrieving data from other edge servers cannot meet the low-latency requirements in edge computing environments. At the same time, some popular content can be requested intensively. In this case, for load balancing, multiple copies of data will be cached in the edge network. To enable multiple data copies, the data structure is used to store the data index, where there are multiple elements in the Vector, and each element indicates the location of the data copy. When the ingress edge server caches a copy of the data again, it publishes the data index to its index edge server. Then, the indexing edge server finds the corresponding Key and adds the new element to the corresponding Vector. The key challenge is how to make full use of multiple data copies to p...

Embodiment 3

[0099] This embodiment implements and evaluates the COIN mechanism built in Embodiment 1 on a small test platform. In addition, the effectiveness and efficiency of the COIN mechanism are also evaluated through large-scale simulations.

Abstract

The invention provides an edge computing-oriented unstructured data sharing mechanism implementation method in the field of edge computing, which comprises the following steps of: receiving a data index request of a user, and collecting switch, port, link and host information through a control plane to obtain a network topology and state; determining coordinates of a switch and coordinates of a data index in a virtual space formed by a network topology; constructing a switch connection diagram according to the coordinates of the switch; inserting a forwarding entry comprising coordinates of the switch and a switch connection diagram into a forwarding table of the switch; carrying out greedy forwarding on the coordinates of the data index by the data plane until the coordinates are transmitted to a switch corresponding to switch coordinates closest to the coordinates of the data index in the virtual space; and the switch forwarding the data index of the user to the index edge server andreturns a response result obtained from the index edge server to the user. The path length of the sharing mechanism is shorter, and forwarding table entries needed for searching the switch of the data index are fewer.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of edge computing, and in particular relates to a method for realizing an edge computing-oriented unstructured data sharing mechanism. Background technique [0002] Edge computing (Edge Computing) has been proposed to move computing and storage capacity from remote clouds to the edge of the network close to mobile devices, sensors and end users. At the same time, it promises to drastically reduce network latency and traffic, addressing key challenges in enabling 5G communications. In edge computing, edge servers (also known as nodes) can perform computation offloading, data storage, data caching, and data processing for edge users. However, unlike cloud data center servers, edge servers are usually widely distributed geographically, with heterogeneous computing and storage capacity. In edge computing, when an edge user sends a data request, the request is first directed to the nearest edge server. If the edge serve...
