Abstract

The invention discloses a positive azimuth towing guidance method of road rescue equipment based on license plate positioning. The method combines the structure of road rescue equipment and the characteristics of positive azimuth towing operation, firstly, a region of interest of the license plate is set. Then Gaussian smoothing filtering and gray stretching are performed on the image of this region, and vertical Sobel edge detection and binarization are carried out. Secondly, the binary image is processed morphologically, and the license plate location is realized according to the algorithm of selecting the candidate region and the effective region of the license plate. Then according to the determined license plate center to implement towing guidance, and finally the Kalman filter is used to predict and set the next frame of the image of the license plate of interest, so as to improve the rescue efficiency and safety performance of road rescue equipment.
