The direct-current inter-electrode breaking device is parallelly connected between a positive electrode and a negative electrodeof a medium-and-high-voltage direct-current line; when the direct-current line is in a fault, the fault can be isolated, and fault current can be broken; when the direct-current line is with overvoltage, excessive energy can be consumed; the device has functions that a direct-current circuit breaker and a direct-current chopper and is quite high in performance-cost ratio and is easy to realize, and the problem of high-voltage energy taking is solved.
