Abstract

The invention discloses a VANET message forwarding method in an urban environment based on a Bayesian model. The method comprises the steps that: (1) a vehicle node exchanges context information through a hello packet, (2) a source node calculates the probability of successful delivery by using the Bayesian model according to the context information, (3) the source node temporarily stores a message to be forwarded by using a local cache S1 and allocates the message to be forwarded to a target node in a communication range by using a load balancing algorithm such that a network congestion phenomenon caused by the excessive occupation of a cache space of a single node is avoided, and (4) after the delivery is completed, the source node obtains a delivery information feedback report and stores the report into a local cache S2. The node periodically trains new Bayesian model parameters by using the data in S2, and then the node completes the probability calculation in step 2 by using the new model parameters.
