Abstract

The invention provides a phase-locked loop frequency synthesizer and a frequency control method. The phase-locked loop frequency synthesizer comprises a control code generation module which is configured to generate a first control code corresponding to a received first signal based on a preset corresponding relationship, wherein the preset corresponding relationship comprises a corresponding relationship between signal frequencies and control codes; and a phase-locked loop which is configured to carry out signal frequency locking operation based on the first control code. A frequency of a second signal output after the locking operation is carried out is the same as the frequency of the first signal. The phase-locked loop comprises a voltage-controlled oscillator. The control code generation module is connected with a switched capacitor array in the voltage-controlled oscillator. A capacitive reactance value of the switched capacitor array is adjusted through utilization of the firstcontrol code. The embodiment of the invention has the technical effect of simple structure and short locking time.
