Embodiment 1

[0010] Use a graphite crucible to melt 200g of industrial pure aluminum ingot and heat it to above 800°C for a period of time. After the molten aluminum cools down to 700-720°C, add Al-0.5Er-0.1Zr refiner. The adding amount of refiner is 50g. Stir well, let it stand for 3-5 minutes, wait for the molten aluminum to drop to 680°C, pour it into a mold, and cool it to room temperature in air. After adding the refiner, it can be observed that the grain refinement effect of the cast sample is remarkable, and the average grain size is refined to 400 μm.

Embodiment 2

An aluminum alloy refining agent uses aluminum as a base body; the content of Er in the aluminum alloy refining agent is 0.5 to 10 weight percent; the Zr content is 0.1 to 10 weight percent; the content of other elements is 0 to 5 weight percent; other elements include but are not limited to one or several kinds of materials in Fe, Si, Cu, Mg, Mn, Zn, Ti, Cr, B and C; the balance of Al. The refining agent containing Er and Zr elements has the obvious crystal grain refining effects on the aluminum alloy; the adverse effects caused by infusible TiB2 particles in the Al-Ti-B refining agents cannot occur.
