Abstract

The method comprises the implementation processes of (1) searching andsorting materials and preprocessing the materials; (2) calculating and researching hazard indexes of a road section by use of a Matlab (Matrix laboratory); (3) dividing the flat and vertical combinations according to a road design speed; (4) determining the hazard index of each flat and vertical combination; (5) filling a flat and vertical combination evaluation form by use of the Matlab; (6) grading the hazard indexes; and (7) evaluating the safety level of the flat and vertical combinations.
