Embodiment Construction

[0037] As shown, the present invention is a luminous surfboard, generally designated by the reference numeral 10 . It can be seen that it basically comprises a board assembly 20 with an electronic system 60 .

[0038] like figure 1 , shown in 2 and 3, the board device 20 is a paddle board, a surfboard or any surfboard with buoyancy for use in a body of water. Such a paddle board, a surfboard or any surfboard buoyant for use in a body of water, can be an elongated platform, relatively light, but strong enough to support a person standing on it. They may include one or more fins aft of the underside of the surfboard to improve directional stability. They may be made of polystyrene foam or polyurethane covered with fiberglass cloth, and / or polyester epoxy resin, carbon fiber, and / or composite materials. The result is a light yet solid board with buoyancy and maneuverability.

[0039] The panel assembly 20 includes a deck 22 , a bottom 24 , first and second sides 26 and 28 , r...

Abstract

A buoyant illuminated board having a board assembly with a deck, a bottom, first and second lateral sides, and at least one aperture. An electrical system has a power source, and at least one light source within the at least one aperture. A hatch assembly has a lid, and a housing that defines a cavity. The electrical system further comprises a controller, an amplifier, and a battery charger connector that are housed within the hatch assembly along with the power source. The at least one aperture may be elongated to define a channel. The at least one light source is a bulb, a light, a lamp, a light-emitting diode, or rope lighting. The board assembly also has an exterior cover that covers the at least one light source within the at least one aperture, and may have a battery charger to recharge the power source.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to surfboards, and more particularly, to the use of such illuminated surfboards in bodies of water. Background technique [0002] The applicant believes that one of the most similar references is published by US Patent Application, published on April 24, 2014, US Patent No. 20140111978 A1, a paddle invented by Peter David Laurence. However, it differs from the present invention in that a paddle developed by Laurence includes a shaft, a web secured to the shaft, and an illumination source that illuminates at least part of the web. [0003] Another reference that the applicant considers conforming is the US Patent Application Publication, published on March 20, 2014, US Patent No. 20140078760 A1, An Underwater Lighting System for Small Vessels, invented by William Thomas Rossini. However, it is different from the present invention because Rossini has developed an underwater lighting vessel system that includes a vessel and ...
