Abstract

The invention relates to a collision-input reduction apparatus for a vehicle. Though highly automatic driving technique is realized, not all the vehicle collision can be avoided. Therefore, improved measures need to be taken. The collision-input reduction apparatus for a vehicle 1 includes an external camera sensor 31 configured to detect an approaching object that approaches the vehicle 1, and acontroller configured to control behavior of the vehicle 1. In response to prediction, based on detection by the external camera sensor 31, of a collision of the approaching object with a side of thevehicle in a direction passing through a center of gravity of the vehicle while traveling, the controller changes the behavior of the vehicle 1 before collision with the approaching object so as to move the center of gravity G of the vehicle 1 off an input direction of impact caused by the collision with the approaching object.
