The method comprises the steps that a long distance and mass flow water conveyance engineering hydraulic transition process simulation model is established; on the basis of the pumping station water hammer two stage valve closing, a trial algorithm is adopted to seek feasible region intervals on a first segment valve closing from the closing times and angular variations; according to the obtained feasible region interval, an optimization interval search method is adopted in the feasible region interval to conduct the step-by-step search, an optimal feasible region floating within the design range is obtained, the calculation is terminated, and the optimization control on the valve closing of the transition process of the long distance and mass flow water conveyance system is completed.
