Abstract

The invention discloses a farming model of three-way cross-bred sheep. The farming model of three-way cross-bred sheep comprises the steps: (1) hybridizing Hulunbeier sheep and small-tailed Han sheep to obtain Hu-Han sheep; (2) hybridizing the Hu-Han sheep with Dorper sheep to obtain Dorper-Hu-Han sheep. Experimental results show that by utilizing the farming model of three-way cross-bred sheep, the Hu-Han sheep has high productivity and prolificacy, inherits high reproductivity of the small-tailed Han sheep and can provide weaned lambs for Dorper-Hu-Han sheep. The Dorper-Hu-Han sheep inherits not only the features of Hulunbeier sheep, such as high meat quality, good tolerance to crude feed, strong adaptability and high disease resistance, but also the features of the Dorper sheep, such as high weight-gaining speed. The numbers of pure bred sheep, two-way cross-bred sheep and three-way cross-bred sheep are allocated reasonably, and the farming model of 'three births in two years and two lambs per birth' is achieved.
