The sleep monitoring and improving apparatus comprises a gyroscope, a preprocessing unit, a processing unit, and an alpha wave transmission unit, wherein the gyroscope is used for detecting a vibration state of the apparatus and outputting movement information; the preprocessing unit is connected with the gyroscope and used for receiving angle information, performing preprocessing and converting the angle information into a digital signal; the processing unit is connected with the preprocessing unit and used for receiving the digital signal, performing FFT conversion on the digital signal, and performing characteristic extraction on a conversion result to obtain heart rate and respiratory rate which reflect the sleep state of a user; and the alpha wave transmission unit is connected with the processing unit and used for transmitting alpha wave which promotes sleep under the control of the processing unit.
