Abstract

The present invention provides a configurable physically unclonable function circuit and a response generation method thereof. A configurable annular oscillator in the circuit is a serial loop formed by sequentially connecting n two input XOR gates and a two input AND gate in series. In the circuit structure, the two input XOR gates replace a phase inverter in a traditional annular oscillator, and an excitation response pair is generated by extracting randomness differences of oscillation frequencies of the configurable annular oscillator. A configuration signal is adjusted, so that the circuit generates the same bit sequence with fewer resources, therefore, the unit cost is greatly lowered.
