Abstract

The invention discloses a hippophae rhamnoides extract for treating breast cancer and liver cancer as well as a preparation method and application of the hippophae rhamnoides extract. The hippophae rhamnoides extract is prepared by the following steps: 1) drying hippophae rhamnoides fruits, so that dried hippophae rhamnoides fruits are obtained; 2) crushing the dried hippophae rhamnoides fruits to 100-800 meshes so as to obtain hippophae rhamnoides powder; 3) at 4-25 DEG C, soaking the hippophae rhamnoides powder in water for 1-10h, and ultrasonically extracting for 10min-6h so as to obtain a hippophae rhamnoides extracting solution, wherein the mass-volume ratio of the hippophae rhamnoides powder to the water is 1 to (2-15); and 4) filtering, collecting the hippophae rhamnoides extracting solution and drying the extracting solution, so that the hippophae rhamnoides extract is obtained. The inhibitory rate of the extract on breast cancer cells reaches 80.73% and the inhibitory rate on liver cancer cells reaches 87.28%, and the hippophae rhamnoides extract is low in toxic and side effects.
