The method comprises the steps as follows: charge and discharge data of power batteries are obtained; the charge and discharge data comprise terminal voltage, current and temperature of the power batteries; each power battery comprises a single battery; a mathematic model for calculating the SOC of each power battery is established on the basis of an ELM method; with charge and discharge data as inputs of the mathematic models, the SOC data of the power batteries are determined according to outputs of the mathematic models; a consistency analysis is carried out on power battery packs according to the SOC data of the power batteries; and an on / off state of a switch tube of an equalizer circuit is controlled when the power battery packs are not consistent according to an equalizing control strategy, so that energy transfer of the power batteries is achieved. According to the method, the current state of charge of each battery can be relatively accurately and rapidly predicted; and the equalization accuracy and the equalization power are effectively improved.
