Abstract

The cross guide pin comprises a front end of the guide pin, a rear end of the guide pin, and a vertical end surface, wherein the vertical end surface is located between the front end and the rear end of the guide pin; a copper wire is locked with a lock mechanism which is equal to the rear end of the guide pin in width; the front end of the copper wire extends out of the front end of the lock mechanism a preset length; with the forefront end of the copper wire as a locating basis, a vertical end surface is forged from the copper wire at the position next to the front end of the lock mechanism; a segment of copper wire which is equal to the front end of the guide pin in length is reserved at the front end of the vertical end surface; and normal force is applied to the copper wire at the position close to the rear end of the lock mechanism, so that the copper wire at the position and the copper wire in the lock mechanism generate a relative displacement fracture; and the copper wire in the lock mechanism and the end surface and the front end part of the forged copper wire form the cross guide pin. The invention further provides a guide pin machine for achieving the method for producing the cross guide pin. The machining precision of the cross guide pin is improved.
