Abstract

The invention discloses a pretreatment apparatus and method for determination of dissolved helium and neon in water. The apparatus comprises a low vacuum water sample degassing part, a high vacuum helium-neon purifying part and a detection part which are successively connected, wherein the low vacuum water sample degassing part comprises a sample bottle, a degassing bottle and a de-watering pit, the high vacuum helium-neon purifying part comprises a sample storage tank, an active carbon pit and a high vacuum member, the active carbon pit and the sample storage tank are placed in liquid nitrogen under low temperature condition for purifying other gaseous components except He and Ne in separated gas, the high vacuum member comprises a valve and a vacuum pump and is capable of creating vacuum conditions for isotope mass spectrometry, and the detection part is connected with the high vacuum helium-neon purifying part and used for determining the contents of helium and neon in the purified separated gas and the composition of isotopes of helium and neon. The apparatus can successively complete water sample degassing, purification of separated gas and detection of the contents and isotope ratios of helium and neon at one time and produces more accurate metering and determination results.
