[0002] Paris forrestii (Takht.) H.Li] is a plant of the genus Pachyphylla in the family Trilliumaceae. Its rhizome is used as medicine. It has the effects of clearing away heat and detoxification, reducing swelling and pain, cooling the liver and calming convulsions. It is used to treat carbuncle sores , unknown swollen poison, poisonous snake bites, sore throat, mumps, tonsillitis and big head plague (Zhu Zhaoyun. Yunnan Natural Medicine Illustrated Book. Volume 6. Kunming: Yunnan Science and Technology Press, 2010:127), but it is not useful at present Reports on the treatment of cancer

Embodiment 1

[0020] The dried rhizome (4.4kg) of Paris forrestii (Takht.) H.Li] was crushed, soaked in 95% ethanol (13L) for 7 days, filtered, and the filter residue was further extracted. A total of 4 extractions were performed, the filtrates were combined, and the solvent was recovered to obtain 550 g of extract (code PFE-PT1). PFE-PT1 was made into a suspension with water (2L), extracted with ethyl acetate (2L×3), and the ethyl acetate was recovered to obtain 19 g of the ethyl acetate extraction fraction (code PFE-PT2). The mother liquor extracted with ethyl acetate was further extracted with n-butanol (2L×3), and n-butanol was recovered to obtain 290 g of n-butanol extraction fraction (code PFE-PT3). The mother liquor after n-butanol extraction was separated by D101 macroporous resin column chromatography, eluted with water first, and evaporated to dryness to obtain 174 g of the water-eluted fraction (code PFE-PT4). Continue to elute with 95% ethanol, and evaporate the solvent to obta...

Embodiment 2

[0022] The cytotoxicity test was performed on the extract of Polygonum chrysanthemum and the treated parts, and the results are shown in Table 1. The results showed that, except the macroporous resin water elution site (PFE-PT4) was inactive, the other parts had cytotoxic activity, especially the n-butanol extraction site (PFE-PT3) and the macroporous resin ethanol site (PFE-PT4). -PT5) has extremely significant inhibitory activity on liver cancer SMMC-7721 cells, lung cancer A-549 cells, breast cancer MCF-7 cells and colon cancer SW480 cells, and its activity is stronger than the positive control drug cisplatin.

Embodiment 3

[0026] Polygonum lanceolata extract (PFE-PT1), add sodium carboxymethyl starch, appropriate amount of starch, granulate the starch paste, dry, granulate, add appropriate amount of talcum powder, mix well, and compress into tablets (0.5g per tablet, equivalent to Rhizome of Chonglou 1g), 6 tablets each time, 3 times a day.

Abstract

The invention provides a Paris forrestii (Takht) H.Li extract and preparation method or application to preparation of a drug for curing tumors or cancers thereof. The Paris forrestii (Takht) H.Li extract is a rhizome extract extracted with ethyl alcohol. The preparation method comprises the following steps: taking the rhizome of Paris forrestii (Takht) H.Li, drying, soaking for seven days with 95 percent ethyl alcohol after grinding, and filtering; continuously extracting filter residues for four times, merging filtrates, recovering a solvent, and thus obtaining the extract. The Paris forrestii (Takht) H.Li extract has significant inhibitory activity on hepatoma SMMC-7721 cells, lung cancer A-549 cells, breast cancer MCF-7 cells and colon cancer SW480 cells, and the activity is stronger than that of a positive control drug cisplatin. The Paris forrestii (Takht) H.Li extract is a new selection of a drug for curing or preventing cancers.
